Financial accounting
provides information that is designed to satisfy the needs of external users of accounting information. Financial accounting information is developed using generally accepted accounting principles. Financial information is provided via financial statements which normally include the balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes in equity, statement of cash flows, and notes to financial statements.
